Cortex A15 MPCore Processor

Have announced the ARM Cortex processor A15 MPCore which promises to provide a 5x performance increase over today's sophisticated smartphones processor, in a comparable energy. Cortex processor-A15 has the headroom that is projected to run up to 2.5GHz and is targeted at manufacturing 32nm, 28nm, with a roadmap extending to 20nm.
Cortex-A15 extending the capabilities of the ARM Cortex-A Series by adding hardware support for virtualization OS, soft-error recovery, greater memory addressability and the coherence of the system. A15 also has a full compatibility with all other flow-Cortex A processor, which means "Android ™, Adobe ® Flash ® Player, Java Platform Standard Edition (Java SE), JavaFX, Linux, Microsoft ® Windows ® Embedded Compact 7, Symbian ® and Ubuntu, along with more than 700 members of the ARM Connected Community is supported in the design.
The target users of these processors:
    * Advanced Smart phones
    * Mobile Computing
    * High-end Digital Home Entertainment
    * Wireless Infrastructure
    * Low-Power Servers

The only bad part of this announcement is that we probably will not see marketed products that use the chip until late 2012 or early 2013. The term of this far Cortex A9 should give time to straighten the legs and popularize themselves as has been done Cortex A8 has been on the smartphone.
