Windows automatic updates is a feature available in windows vista. This feature will be run automatically on your computer, if your computer is connected to the internet then when Microsoft released the latest update from your windows so you can directly access the update file is then downloaded to your computer.
If your computer is not connected (connected) directly to the internet then you should disable this feature (disabled) only.
How to disable (turn off) automatic update in windows vista is :
1. Select Control Panel
2. Select Windows Update
3. Select Change settings
4. If automatic active updates, then you can disable
5. Select "Never check for updates (not recomended)
